About the Journal

Scandinavian Journal of Islamic Studies (SJIS) is the English title of Tidsskrift for Islamforskning (TIFO)

Focus and area

SJIS is an online journal that publishes articles on Muslims and Islam in Scandinavia (irrespective of the author’s affiliation with a Scandinavian university) and research on Muslims and Islam in the world by researchers affiliated with a Scandinavian university. The journal is published twice a year by Forum for Islamforskning (FIFO) with funding from Independent Research Fund Denmark. The first issue of the journal was published on 17 October 2006.
